Does any one know what happened to the British Lingerie DePledge company? Did it run out of business? It used to be one of the best-looking and best-fitting companies ever!!!

Can any of our British friends give us the story?

I read your message and like you I have been wondering what happened to DEPLEDGE.
I bought many gorgeous things from there over the last five or so years. The cut was superb and the choice of colours amazing and they were always happy to listen to a customer's requests. Where are they?

You can purchase the item featured in your post here. You can also buy more DePledge items here.

As to what has happened to them? No idea! The owner was Nancy DePledge but I can't find anything about what happened to her or her brand....

The last update was sometime in 2006 and the wayback machine shows an archive snapshot saying "company closure"

Though I can't say I 'm surprised, as I assumed this is what happened, I'm somewhat saddened.
This is probably the first company that once stumbled on their products, made me realize what “fine lingerie” is all about. I still remember their wonderful silk nightgown and bed jacket set I got awhile back that always made me so feel beautiful and glamorous once I had it on.

I'm afraid de Pledge did cease trading in 2006. I believe it was more down to their not being able to source appropriate silk and lace for their products rather than lack of sales. A company called Demare is now selling the Embrace collection, though the colours are a bit different from the old De Pledge colours.
I havn't found anyone with any stock of de Pledge. The chap at SilkPeach does apparantly have stock, but he wasn't able to sell it to me. After five months I gave up (though I had no problems getting a refund from him).

Very sad as their stuff was superb quality.
