I did not grow up in a rich family, so growing up as a girl going through puberty was not easy. There were the Kotex pads and of course the bras. With bras being so darned expensive these days I had to take expecially good care of the few that I had. Unfortuantly, I often recieved my mothers hand me downs which was not an all together pleasent experience. especially during changing time in the girls locker room after gym.
One day, after being teased far too much about my "Granny Bras" I went home determined to have the hotest style of bras so that I could look rich and privlaged just like all the other girls. I started cutting and sewing and painting. I was somewhat pleased with the outcome and could not wait to try it on. but before I wore it for the next day I thought to wash it just to make sure it looked brand new.
The next morning when I pulled the "new" bras out of the drier. they were ruined. I was not quite the seamstress I thought I was and alll the threading had come undone. not only that but the paint that I had put on the bras to make the colorfull and pretty had melted all over the dryer. Needless to say a ruiend bra was the least of my worries at that point. I had used all but my sprts bras to conduct the frankenstien of bras experioment. So now I no longer had to worry about the "Granny Bra" statment. Now I just had to worry about the smooshed boob comments. So thats my story... I hope it's worth your generosity.

A couple of years ago I attended a dance event. I wore this wonderful red gown with a bra that had clear straps. The gown (separate sequined top with a long, full skirt even though they looked like they were one piece) was a bit too long for me but I didn't want to ruin the hem and decided to wear it as it is. I ended up fastening the waistband of the skirt to my bra so that I wouldn't step on the hem.

All night I felt like the dress could fall any minute. If the safety pins had broken, my dress would have fallen and I don't even want to think about what could have happened if the straps..

Anyway everything went fine (and stayed in their places) but afterwards the bra obviously wasn't the way it used to be. I didn't wear it after that (except maybe at home) because it felt so stretched and almost torn Rolling Eyes

My story involves airport security.

A few years ago I had gone up a few bra sizes without realizing it, but I continued to wear my old 32A-cup bras from middle school. I had this one really old cotton bra that I think I bought at Wal-Mart. It had an underwire that was busting out of the seams, the cotton was very worn and sort of discolored, the band was all stretched out, and the clasps were clearly not as strong as they used to be. It was also a convertible-style bra that had straps that could come undone. In order to compensate for the poor fit, I was tightening the straps a lot, and my boobs were awkwardly squashed - so I guess the bra was under a lot of stress.

I was at the airport, wearing only a sweatshirt and jeans (no shirt underneath!), and as I'm raising my hands to get "wanded" by the security guard, I feel my bra give way. The straps all randomly popped out at once and the clasp came undone...and my bra just fell on the ground. My old, worn-out, white cotton bra was just lying there in front of everyone. I was mortified. All I could do was pick it up and carry it through security. Then I had to stuff it in my bag, and I ended up free-boobing it for the whole flight, which is an uncomfortable feeling.

It was a bad day in boob history. I was refitted as a 32C after this whole incident. I guess the moral of the story is to wear the correct size at all times!

A few years back on a hot day in August my boyfriend, now hubby decided to take me to a local amusement park. It was in august and was near 100 degrees with high humidity. I decided I wanted to be comfortable and try to beat the heat a bit. I wore sporty shorts with a white front clasp sports bra (the ones that don't look like a bra) in the literal term. Over the bra I wore a mesh tank top.

The day was going well and me being a roller coaster fanatic I climbed aboard the new roller coaster. These coasters had periodic cameras placed throughout the ride that snapped random photos. The ride was rather rough and upon coming down one hill and reaching the top of another I felt my bra give way. The front clasp had broken. In a panic I desperately tried to cover myself. It was already too late, after we exited the ride....me blushing while covering my breasts with my arms. My boyfriend hurried and bought me a T-shirt from the giftstand off the exit. We then went to view the photos taken during the ride, wouldn't ya know it, clear as day my 36C's are there for the world to see. We had to tell the attendant immediately for removal but needless to say the embarrassment was beyond bearable. So to sum the story up, be careful of front clasps and be very modest about the accompanying clothes you choose to incorporate with those! Smile

Before I tell my ruined bra story, take yourself back to middle school, those lovely awkward years of teenage life. It was the end of 8th grade and I had started to develop to the point where it was uncomfortable to go bra-less. The incident happened during co-ed gym class.

I had worn the only sports bra I had, one from WalMart. I had never worn it before. In class we were circuit training, with stairs, weights, basketball and jump ropes. When it was my turn to start jump roping, I started going really fast because I was showing off for my crush, who was in my class (we'll call him Stud). In the middle of a jump, I felt my bra come undone (it had a front closure). I didn't think anyone would notice, so I decided to finish the circuit before fixing it.

Bad idea. The class jerk (who also happened to be friends with Stud) realized what happened and started snickering and calling me "floppy chest". I still had like a minute left to jump rope, but obviously I couldn't continue. I ran to the side of the room so that I could fix the problem. My teacher, who was unaware of the situation, yelled from across the room to "get back to jump roping!" I quickly snapped the bra back together, but it busted right back open! All I could do was to quietly tell my teacher that my bra wouldn't stay together, so I couldn't do any more circuits that day. Everyone knew what happened, and luckily I had some good friends who stood up for me, but let's just say that I never got up the nerve to ask Stud out after that.

I love how situations like this, which seemed so mortifying at the time, become more and more hilarious with time. Needless to say, I'm super-careful about bras I buy now, and I only exercise in sports bras that slip on over the head. Wink

You know how wee like to keep an old bra because it makes us feel comfortable, one time I was wearing one of my comfy bras and I went with my husband to the mall and we were shopping suddenly my bra strap cut and it was gonna full from my clothes, I felt so embarrassed and rushed to the toilet to adjust it.. My husband just died laughing at me but I made him buy me a new set of bra and panty.. Very Happy

My worst experiece was when I went to my Junior prom, ancient history but the memory is like yesterday. Despite the fact that the breast fairy hadn't visited me yet, my mom made me a strapless dress and finished it the morning of prom. I loved that dress. In order to give the impression that I had some girlie curves, we safety pinned my strapless bra to my dress.

I was feeling so good about myself, wearing a one-of-a-kind dress, a hot senior was giving me the one over as I lifted my arms to fix a stray decoration. Wouldn't you know it that when my arms went up, the dress and bra stayed still and my teeny-tiny breasts broke free of their captor. "Did you see anything," I asked the hot Senior.

"No...no I didn't."

The look on his face told me "Yes, yes he did."

I think the best worst bra story was told to me by my mom. This, once again, goes out to my small breasted sisters.

It was the days before the Wonderbra and padding that enhance our assets. My mom and her friend, Patty, were in college and talking with some boys. Patty had padded her bra with kleenex. My mom said it was handy in case you had to blow your nose, but kleenex was risky, it had a mind of its own. Someone said a particularly funny joke, everyone started laughing. At first Patty's left breast moved down her ribs. The harder she laughed, the harder everyone else laughed, and the farther and faster her "breast" migrated out the bottom of her shirt.

I don't think she got a date. Falling bra padding is pretty much a potential date killer. "Does anyone have to blow their nose?"

So glad we have molded bra cups and Bra(g) to ensure our precious cups stay in form!
