Is expensive lingerie worth the price?

Hi, there are some reasons to pay more for lingerie. However in many occasions you are also paying for the name.

I have learned the hard way it doesn't pay to buy cheap lingerie. I bought a nice red bustier top with attached garters from some internet store and put it on hooked up one stocking and went to do the other and the garter came right off the garment. There was no excessive pulling or tugging. Contacted the store and they said they have a no return policy on items that have been worn. Had some cheap panties purchased in either a Walmart or a K Mart and they looked and fit great. Washed em once maybe twice and they resembled something my grandmother would have worn.
On the flip side of the coin I see bras and panties selling for upwards of $200, corsets and bustiers selling for $500 -$700 range I have to ask WHY? how much better made is it then one that sells for lets say $150? That being the top of my price range for sure on a good day. Lets face it this stuff isn't worn for a very long period of time so why over extend ones self for a guilty pleasure. I find buying name brand lingerie at middle of the road prices and even better if it's on sale makes one a smarter shopper. A lot of the European brands are far better constructed then most if not all of what comes out of China and the rest of the far east. Forget about the low level crap form places like Indonesia or Vietnam to name two Most of what they sell is utter garbage.
In short one just has to be a savy buyer and know what your spending your hard earned money on. If things are far cheaper then what others of the same tye sell for you have to ask yourself why? The answer usually is because they are inferior products thats why.
