Hello Lingerie Fans:
Recently saw a old-fashioned beach photgraph from about 1920 maybe.
There was a young couple posing together and they actually had on those
funny striped bathing suits.
The guy's suit was like a wrestling tights - once piece tanktop and long shorts.
The girl was pretty but covered neck to toe in a dress really - no way could she swim
with that much wet fabric.
What was interesting is that she was sitting legs apart on top of his shoulders for the photograph.
In doing so, she revealed black tights or stockings underneath it all.
I had never seen that before on those vintage bathing suits - no chance of even her bare ankles being seen.
While the bathing suits were very modest, what struck me was that they
were not afraid of being in close contact, on top of each other, and photographed
in that pose too - Probably very racy for its time. |

I guess they must have felt very suppressed by society... They obviously wanted to express their sexuality, but were forced to conform!
