| Anyone sign up for Twitter?? I just did the other day to see what all the hype was about... I'm not sure I really get it... Is it just a simplified FB with only status updates? |

Twitter is a cool social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers).
We launched on Twitter a few months ago and it provides a great tool for communicating with potential customers, highlighting special offers and new lines, and watching what our competitors are doing.

| i have one! you can follow me @KristaTLPLMO in addition to @TheLingeriePost. i like it because it has helped me make connections with other brands, etc. i only use it for that though. i couldn't manage another social network for my personal life! i also like that it is pretty fast and you can access a wide variety of people, not necessarily your "friends" |

I do! I subscribe to quite a few twitter feeds (just in my RSS reader) for sites I like to shop at regularly - it keeps me on top of their coupon codes, sales, new arrivals, etc. I don't think I would subscribe to one that does 10 self-promotion tweets a day, but if they post news and relevant links along with some tweets about their own products, a couple tweets a day, I think they're a good resource. Usually the shops that interest me post things that interest me as well.

I'm on twitter to-and shall be looking to follow all of the above v soon! 
I think twitter is a nice way of letting customers see the daily unnings of some businesses or ways they can relate to the people they are buying from. Also it is a quick way of letting people know of updates, new items etc without blasting them with constant e-mails if you have a mailing list.
Plus it's just a wee bit of fun to be fair!

I personally find Twitter quite difficult to get on with. I want to like it, but I just can't get used to it...
I tend to use facebook for most things social+promotional
Has anyone got any good advice on how I should use it?
