Hi all,
I want to get my boyfriend a nice shave kit and skin care products for his birthday and/or Valentine's (both of our b-days are around Valentine's, so we just sort of celebrate them all together with one really nice dinner...)
Anyway, I was looking at different brands and wanted input from men or informed women about what works best for men with sensitive skin and ingrown hairs. I was considering Anthony Logistics for Men and Philosophy products, but I am open to suggestions. I would like to avoid any overpowering scents. Mostly I just want to get something that is easy to use and WORKS!
This looks really good:

Hi Spoyltone,
Well, luckily for me I dont have any ingrowing hairs .. so I cannot recommend anything on that.
I did get a nice new razor for xmas from my wife. I wet shave so usually use a normal Gilette mach 3 razor, but this new one is a Gillette Fusion Power Razor.. which I find even better as it contains a battery to vibrate the razor while shaving, which prevents any pain when going over any stubborn bristtles.

This isn't a suggestion for anything that's very present-worthy, so I know it's not really answering your question, but some of my friends with sensitive skin/ingrown hairs use Magic Cream, it's like a powder that you mix with water and it dissolves the hair. It was developed for African American men to deal with the very coarse beards that caused ingrown hairs. It's like $2.50 a can at the drugstore (sometimes it's in the shaving aisle, sometimes it's with the shampoos for African American hair).
....and secretly, I bought some myself for taking care of my bikini area after a friend suggested it. I love it! And it is obviously gentle for sensitive skin because I continue to use it _________________ Lingerie is the poetry in a woman's wardrobe.

Actually, that was really, really helpful! I will go check it out.
Also, I got the Anthony Logistics treatment for the bf and he really likes it. I can really tell a difference with his skin. But it was pretty expensive so if I find out this works better then I will forget about spending more money on that.
Oh, and I really need something for my bikini line too, so I hope this does the trick! |

It's not a shave kit, but you should try Coochy Cream! It the VERY BEST shaving cream I have ever used! No more ingrown hairs, moisturizes your legs, and doubles as a conditioner for your hair. I tried this 4 years ago, and I have never bought anything else since then... I even have my mom, my roommates, my best friends, and my boyfriend hooked on it! You gotta try it. IT'S AMAZING!!!!
Here's a link to Lover's Lane site, I buy it in their stores, but if you don't live near one of their stores you could just order it. I highly recommend it!

I totally vote for coochy cream! It is the greatest stuff ever. I have never used it on my hair...but i suppose you could try it... I use it to shave and my boyfriend is gonna start using it on his face i'm sure. For some reason i get a really close and smooth shave with it too. Good recommendation Lola. I second it. _________________ <3 Skittles

| Not satisfied with your old curling iron, then why not opt for ceramic curling iron which has great temperature control facility for any texture of hair since there are thirty heat settings. |
