Ridiculous I know but I thought I'd let you guys have a laugh at this. Nearly as good as your meat underwear Kelly but here we have a USB keyboard bra. Japanese of course....

Would make typing up that damn dissertation or that dull economic report more interesting though....

I have an engaged friend who is a huge computer nerd. Maybe I should give his fiancee one of these for her bachelorette party! Wink

That bra would go very well with HTTPanties:

Hahaha they're good. You could tell straight away what mood she is in when she wears those. Pink and black give you the green light for some saucy sub-duvet action. White is a definite no no and red is a "I feel sorry for you so I'm gonna inflate your ego" kinda no, designed to soften the blow a little; like the iron fist in the velvet glove sort of thing Laughing

How about the ipod bra:

And the ipod pants:

Or the solar bikini:

]

And finally, the Intimate Controllers where a set of sensors embedded in underwear direct the action on a video game. Players touch each other to control the game:

If that is what it takes to get an IT guy in bed, I'll pass.

I guess there is a niche for this, but I won't be joining that club anytime soon.

I saw a video of the video-game bra. The games looked very boring Sad

There's also the "ipanty," which I saw in a magazine but the only website you can buy it from has since become "under construction." basically, it was just underwear you could hold a nano in

I thought this was a suitable thread for this as it isn't really a practical buy for most people but experts from the UK have developed a new smart bra that can detect breast cancer tumours at an early stage. The article is here.

That's crazy!

I'd still rather wear my regular bras and just get screened if I was worried about breast cancer....but whatever works, I guess!

I wonder if the idea is that you wear all the time if you're afraid of cancer, or if the doctor puts it on you during an appointment?

Like the solar bikini above, this is another idea of 'smart clothing'. This particular idea shows how clothes might be used in the future to protect health. There are Irish researchers designing intelligent fabrics which contain sensors that monitor body fluids such as blood and sweat to allow doctors keep check on recovering patients, people who are chronically ill and injured athletes. The key is trying to blend the technology into the clothes as discreetly as possible so you are able to wear it all the time. The new technology is not meant to replace traditional diagnostic methods but is another tool in monitoring patients and detecting trends away from the hospital setting in their everyday lives.

Other trials for smart clothes are items that can repel insects and shrug off the smell of tobacco and other nasty smells. Tracksuits with in-built cooling and socks that smell of flowers will be on the shelves soon and, in the future moisturiser, deodorant, mosquito repellents and even vitamins will be incorporated into fabrics for those in search of an easier life.

Welcome to the future! But will it catch on?
