I'm trying a few Tia Lyn pieces in my store and I'm curious if anyone has any input? This is from the Vintage Flirt line and come in sizes Small to 3X. The camisole is pretty enough to wear out, even under a cute jacket for the office. The fabric feels incredibly soft and the lace details are so pretty and feminine.
I'm offering these at discounted prices, take a look:

Hi,
That was nice ... The unique lace works and intricate craftmanship details are too good ..... _________________ Obita Consultants , UK

I carried her one cami -short set in my store. I eventually sold through the entire collection. It did appeal to women size small and women size 3X. We didn't get another set because what we had on order wasn't shipped. We didn't bring any more in. It is difficult to plan merchandise and then have it not show up. We might take another look at her line. The cami sets are pretty good. Oh Cheri-you should do well with that group. It is cute and black can be an easy color to sell.
I don't think Tia Lyn was at the last Lingerie Americas. I like her personally and her company mantra of fashion for all.
This is the set we sold out of. We did have it in stock for a long time.

GigiGirl - I love that set! I don't know why, but lately I've been really into florals (on everything....clothes, dishes, you name it!) which is odd for me because I used to really, really not like them. But that set is a great example of why I'm changing my mind! _________________ Lingerie is the poetry in a woman's wardrobe.

I have a small boutique in Northern California and we have been carrying Tia's various lines for three years and they have always moved very well. Our customers LOVE everything we have carried by Tia Lyn.
This is an amazing designer and a great line. You will not find a mid to high end line any better. for the mid level price point her items are superb. The Award Winning (CILA) Vintage Flirt gown is a must for every boutique out there. To see it on stage click here: http://www.zoozoom.com/magazine.aspx#type=story&id=673
The new line we just ordered at the International Lingerie Show last week is AMAZING (Allure and Starlet)! This line is so new the pics are not even on her website yet. Keep an eye out on her site as the pics should show up soon. You really need to try these items.... |

It's so hard to hit so many shows in such a short period of time...especially in feb. .
... what shows did you folks attend last season? I have heard mixed reviews about the NYC shows. I was only able to make the las vegas shows (we also never miss the ILS due to the great mix of plus sizes www.spectrade.com) |

Our office is only an hour and half from NYC. So we go to Curve and Lingerie Americas. Most designers have offices or Reps in NYC so if we find a line we are interested in we can look at the line on our own at the office.
It just seems that "they" are spreading the events way too thin for such a niche market. There are too many shows for the size of our industry. We didn't see a lot of lines that we were expecting because they weren't at the two shows we went to (like Arianne and Tia Lyn). What is that show that you mentioned? _________________ Life is short. ILS = International Lingerie Show. This is the "sexier" show as opposed to the higher end Lingerie Americas and Curve Expo however there is becoming more and more representation of "bridge" brands at this show (Tia Lyn, Rene Rofe, Milili, AFAP, etc). Key for my boutique is seeing smaller and emerging lines that may not be able to exhibit at the highend shows yet. I find a big benefit in seeing these exhibitors before many of my competitors who only attend the other two shows.
If you sell any POS type products (private label body lotions, romance gifts, etc) this is the place. We do not sell "adult toys" at our shop, so making our way through the maze of these items can be challenging, but you would also be amazed how many of these companies have items that can serve you well. At the last show we visited Entrenue and purchased the POS Display for decks of cards like 52 days of romance, 52 cheap dates etc.
I am also impressed with the show producers. As a buyer I know that breakfast if served each day, lunch is provided, and the Monday night fashions show is EXCELLENT! the fashion show is fully catered with great food and a large number of exhibitors have items on the models.
Of all the Vegas shows I attend (Lingerie Americas, Curve, Magic, Project, etc) I will never miss the ILS. If I have a choice of cramming in a dozen shows during market week or focusing on a single show (the ILS) I would choose the ILS. A fun atmosphere and excellent deals. |
